Chartering The Princess Marina River Boat

An opulent and boutique river cruiser, the Princess Marina is fitted to her 1920's period and has undergone additional upgrades in a recent mini update. She is a refined lady and the ideal venue for family gatherings, celebrations and small weddings.

An open foredeck and enclosed main timber clad saloon make her perfect for all weathers (as does heating). She is a stylish boutique boat and one of the best intimate motor yachts on the Thames. She has a sumptuous and refined style and makes the perfect party or celebration venue.

Having served as a coastal defence vessel during Wold War II she, like her fleet sister, spent the start of her life at sea, coming on to the Thames in the 1950's, she was refitted to her current style in the late 1990s and has been maintained to the highest standards ever since.

The perfect setting for casual or formal dining and is comfortable with 40-45 guests for a casual celebration or 35-40 for a formal sit down occasion. She is able to offer exclusive dining and a private chef thanks to her full onboard galley.

On a summers night, the roof can be rolled back so you dance the night away under the stars.

History of The Princess Marina

Built by Fellows and Co in Great Yarmouth the Princess Marina, originally known as Brit, she worked extensively along the Norfolk and North East coast in her early years. During WWII she was converted to a coastal patrol vessel with guns mounted on her superstructure, fortunately making in through the war years unscathed.

In later life she was brought on to the lower Thames

Having served as a coastal defence vessel during Wold War II she, like her fleet sister, spent the start of her life at sea, coming on to the Thames in the 1950's, she was refitted to her current style in the late 1990s and has been maintained to the highest standards ever since.

layout, decks & interior

The Princess Marina is a single deck vessel with mid ship and quarter boarding points. This means we can board you either into the main saloon or where access is tight on to the open foredeck.

Thee man saloon has a seated area around the bar and a more formal seated area aft. For fine dining we we recommend a maximum party size of 36-40, for casual dining or canapés this can be increased to 45. The boat is licensed for considerably higher numbers and for wedding transport we can carry 50 people.

There is a dance floor with DJ system, full bar, male and female toilets, professional galley, heating and of course fully trained crew on all sailings.
